The Challenge

The Challenge

Moving an animal is not just a booking problem — it is a trust problem. Pet owners often have to coordinate long-distance transport across multiple modes, price brackets and service levels while trying to understand real costs, routes and risk. For families and frequent movers, this process is stressful, fragmented and difficult to compare. The problem is not just transport; it is making a complex logistical decision feel clear and manageable.

Approach

Approach

I built Zootrek as a product experience rather than a brochure site. The core idea was to help users estimate, compare and choose the right travel option for their pet or animal without needing a separate back-and-forth with an operator. I modelled transport options, distance, service levels and pricing logic into a system that could be browsed and filtered like a real product.

Design

Design

The interface is structured around clarity and decision-making: users can compare service routes, understand the trade-off between speed and cost, and see what they are paying for without getting lost in a wall of text. The design uses strong visual hierarchy, clear pricing blocks and a clean flow that keeps the experience reassuring and easy to trust.

Engineering

Engineering

I built the frontend as a data-driven experience with price calculation logic for road, air and mileage-based transport, service tiers like standard, premium and VIP, and dynamic calculations tied to distance and package selection. I also integrated a payment gateway flow so users could move from quote to checkout within the same product experience, rather than treating travel as a manual admin task.

Outcome

Outcome

The result was a functional product experience designed for high-frequency movers and pet owners who need flexibility and clarity. It combined transport comparison, pricing intelligence, booking logic and a payment system into one place, turning a stressful logistics problem into a smoother, more transparent decision-making journey.
